Production Planner

Job Title : Service Production Planner III

Duration : 12 Months

Location : Sunnyvale, California

Essential Job Duties

• Manage assigned NPI and sustaining projects at both strategic and tactical levels. Recommend and implement continuous process improvements.
• Own new products through the pilot production phase to successful launch, including driving schedules, resolving manufacturability issues, and improving cost and efficiency.
• Lead and support departmental and organizational projects. Build team consensus, monitor scope and timelines, manage risks, and escalate issues when needed.
• Engage Manufacturing teams to identify, prioritize, and execute continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Purchasing and Engineering to review changes and determine ECO effectivity; execute ECO implementation requirements.
• Identify supply risks and inventory exposures by aligning supply chain processes with production milestones. Assess impact on Finished Goods Inventory and conduct capacity analyses for what-if scenarios and forecast changes.
• Maintain and develop departmental metrics; analyze trends and drive corrective actions.
• Develop countermeasures to address root causes of Work Order Errors.
• Ensure production order processing complies with Quality and Inventory Control standards.
• Support UAT testing in the ERP system.
• Maintain accurate MRP (SAP) parameters for assigned product lines.
• Provide tactical training and mentorship to team members; create and update Work Instructions (WI) and Departmental Operating Procedures (DOP).
• Resolve work order variances and determine root causes.
