We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team in Stockton, California. In this long-term contract role, you will manage bi-weekly, multi-state payroll processes, ensuring all employee data, deductions, and benefits are accurately maintained. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment within the oil and gas pipeline industry.

Responsibilities :

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for multiple states, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Update and validate employee records, including new hires, terminations, changes, and time-off accruals.
  • Manage payroll deductions, garnishments, and benefits to ensure proper application.
  • Review and verify all earnings, deductions, and adjustments to maintain payroll integrity.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address payroll discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Utilize Paylocity software to execute payroll tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed payroll reports for auditing and management purposes.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters with professionalism and clarity.
  • Support ongoing improvements to payroll processes and systems.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll administration.
  • Proficiency in processing multi-state payrolls with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of payroll-related deductions, garnishments, and benefits.
  • Experience using Paylocity software for payroll management.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with employees and resolving payroll concerns.
