The Lansing School District serves over 10,000 PreK-12 students across 25 school buildings in the increasingly diverse urban community of Lansing, MI. In the pursuit of our mission, we are hiring a Dean Of Students for Pattengill Elementary School. In the Lansing School District, a Dean Of Students is primarily responsible for supporting teachers in ensuring schoolwide behavior incentive systems are implemented with fidelity. While this individual will still work with individual students on a regular basis, this individual will work with teachers and building administrators to ensure all Lansing students are able to attend a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment that is conducive to learning. Deans Of Students are crucial members of our school communities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Michigan Teacher Certificate (or eligible to receive one based on Bachelor's degree in education)
• Previous teaching or counseling experience
• Alignment with Lansing School District's mission and values
