Candidates must have recent stepdown / progressive care experience (not ICU), experience managing patient ratios up to 1 : 5–6, and be willing to float to other campuses and units as needed.

Job Summary :

Premier Health is seeking an experienced Travel Stepdown / PCU RN with a strong background in oncology and hematology for a high-acuity, mixed medical and radiation oncology unit. This unit manages both Med-Surg and Advanced Care patients. Candidates must have recent stepdown / progressive care experience (not ICU), experience managing patient ratios up to 1 : 5–6, and be willing to float to other campuses and units as needed.

Key Responsibilities :

Deliver patient-centered care in a 35-bed mixed acuity oncology unit.

Manage a wide range of complex patient needs, including :

Oncology and hematology care

Blood product administration

Wound care, drips, and PCAs

Chemotherapy (if ONS certified)

Maintain patient ratios of 1 : 4 to 1 : 5–6

Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and EKG strip.s

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and support patients throughout their treatment journey. ey

Accurately document patient care usithe ng EPIC EMR system.

Float to other Stepdown / Advanced Care units and Premier Health campuses as assigned

Provide support on high-risk respiratory / COVID units when necessary.y

Requirements :

Active RN license in Ohio (or compact state)

Minimum 1.5 years of recent Stepdown / PCU experience (ICU experience does not count)

MUST show a 1 : 5 ratio experience in work history for SD / PCU to be considered

Oncology experience required

Chemo-certified and / or sickle cell experience preferred

Travel experience preferred

EPIC charting experience required

Must pass online EKG / tele competency assessment before starting

Must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips

BLS & ACLS certifications required

Must be willing to float to multiple units and campuses as needed
