Job description

The Clubs Program Director plays a pivotal role in developing and managing sport programs that embody a Christ-centered approach. This dynamic leadership position integrates sports management with ministry, ensuring that the operation of FCA Sports processes, systems, and resources across Clubs is effective and impactful.

Key responsibilities include managing club operations, establishing logistics, securing facilities, and fostering relationships with governing bodies, Clubs, and tournaments. The Program Director is also tasked with developing outreach strategies, expanding program offerings, and building strategic partnerships to increase participant numbers.

Ministerial Duties

  • Adhere to FCA's Christian Community values.
  • Engage in daily spiritual practices, including prayer and Bible study.
  • Provide spiritual leadership through prayer, Bible study, and worship, setting an example for staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes.
  • Participate in a local church community regularly.
  • Uphold biblical standards of conduct according to FCA’s beliefs.

Role Responsibilities

Assist Club Administration

  • Fulfill FCA requirements for registration, certification, coaches qualification, financial stewardship, and training.
  • Manage game and tournament organization, including entries and hosting logistics.
  • Coordinate the procurement and distribution of uniforms and equipment.
  • Secure facilities for training and competition through contract management.
  • Ensure all coaches and staff meet current governing body requirements for their sport.
  • Organize and manage evaluations, training, practices, games, and season-end celebrations.

    • Assist Club Operations

  • Develop calendars for tryouts, training, competition dates, and camps.
  • Mentor coaches through training and developmental opportunities.
  • Supervise practices and games to ensure both sporting and ministry quality.
  • Foster active communication with parents and the club's community.
  • Build relationships with local governing bodies and Clubs, sharing the Gospel through excellence and integrity.
  • Provide resources to help athletes progress in their educational and athletic careers.

    • Ministry Advancement

  • Engage coaches, athletes, and volunteers through structured support and community-building.
  • Celebrate spiritual growth alongside athletic excellence within the club.
  • Lead and oversee discipleship programs and foster community engagement.

    • Talent Advancement

  • Strategically recruit, train, and develop volunteers to grow club ministry.
  • Prepare others to assume leadership roles within the organization.

    • Donor Advancement

  • Communicate and nurture relationships with existing and potential financial supporters.
  • Manage finances for the Club and execute an annual budget plan.
  • Encourage fundraising opportunities for players and families to support the ministry.
  • Engage consistently with donors, forming advisory teams and leading fundraising initiatives.
