Care Career is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Cherokee, Iowa.

Operating Room Registered Nurse - Days - Cherokee, IA

  • Shift : 8-hour days, flexible (Monday-Friday), guaranteed 40 hours / week, with call 1-2 times / week plus every 3rd weekend. Call response time is 30 minutes.
  • Unit : OR (2 suites + 1 Endo suite; 15-20 cases / day, including pain and cataract cases)
  • Duties : Circulating, scrubbing (required), cross-training to PACU, assisting in pre-op and PACU as needed. Must be flexible-schedule aligns with traveling surgeon availability.
  • Required Skills : Ortho and General, C-Sections; must be able to scrub. Other specialties preferred.
  • Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS
  • Experience : Minimum 1 year OR experience; will consider first-time traveler.
  • EMR : Epic
  • Support : 1 tech; CRNAs (no anesthesiologist onsite)

    • License : RN license required, BSN not required.

    Notes : Extremely traveler-friendly, supportive team and town. Orientation includes 1 hour online and 1 day on-floor. No cancellation policy. Housing within 30 minutes required due to call.
