Subject matter expert who leverages a wide range of knowledge, experience and deep analytic skill to research foreign civil, military and commercial capabilities, technical developments; regional issues; geographic, cultural and biographic data and system vulnerabilities. Prepares assessments of current events and technologies based on the sophisticated collection, research and analysis of classified and open source information. Develops and maintains analytical procedures to inform dynamic requirements and ensure maximum operational insight of adversary capabilities and intent. Collects data using a combination of standard intelligence methods, advanced analytic methodologies and verifiable processes. Authors assessments of current and future political-military developments, military capabilities and doctrine, technical developments, and foreign tactical, operational and strategic doctrine to inform DoD R&D, acquisition and operational communities.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct threat projection studies and analysis in support of system acquisition decisions and early phase research and development. Research dual-use technologies, foreign military research and development, non-traditional ISR and emerging threat capabilities including cyber, electronic warfare, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, space, and hypersonic systems. Use intelligence analysis tools and methodologies, including modeling and simulation tools, to conduct foreign threat analyses against U.S. scientific and technical intelligence capabilities and strategic communications infrastructure. Programmatic and technical lead (PI or PD or co-); Directs highly specialized tasks in area of expertise; Primary author of technical reports/presentations;
