Job Description:

• We are seeking a highly motivated Bioinformatics Specialist with a strong background in data analysis to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both biological sciences and data science, and will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex biological data.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing and interpreting complex biological data such as genomics, proteomics, and metabolomics data.
• Developing and implementing data analysis methodologies.
• Collaborating with research scientists to understand their data analysis needs and to develop appropriate solutions.
• Maintaining data analysis software and databases, and ensuring their accuracy and reliability.
• Providing technical support and training to researchers in the use of data analysis tools.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest bioinformatics tools and methodologies, and implementing them as needed.
• Conducting research to develop new data analysis methods and tools.
• Documenting all data analysis processes and results, and presenting them to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Assisting with grant writing and publications as needed.

Qualifications:

• A Master’s degree or . in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong computational and statistical skills.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
• Familiarity with bioinformatics tools, databases, and resources.
• Strong understanding of molecular biology and genomics.
• Experience with high-performance computing and cloud computing.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated experience in managing and analyzing large datasets.
