Master's Level Therapist / Clinician Opportunity

The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health is a 156-bed licensed, private psychiatric facility located in Greer, SC, specializing in psychiatric programs and substance use treatment. We offer inpatient programs for adolescents, adults, and senior adults, as well as intensive outpatient programs (IOP) and partial hospitalization programs (PHP) for patients with psychiatric and co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disorders. We treat every patient with compassion and respect, using evidence-based treatment approaches and individualized care to instill hope in our patients, their families, and our community.

We are looking for a Master's Level Therapist / Clinician to join our team. You will be able to facilitate therapy groups, complete psycho social assessments, maintain patient, program, department, and related documentation, and effectively communicate with patient family or patient social support. You will also have effective discharge planning skills and participate in treatment care planning and help implement treatment care plans. You will have substantial knowledge of therapeutic skills and be able to effectively use these skills to intervene with behavioral health patients. You will also participate in restraint and seclusion of patients when required and complete annual and other training in a timely manner.

Qualifications include a Master's degree in social work, psychology, mental health counseling or a similar educational degree, and licensure preferred. Experience in a psychiatric hospital setting and range of experience within the continuum of care are preferred.

Physical and mental requirements of the job include the ability to exercise self-control in potentially volatile situations, reach, walk, and stand for sustained periods of time, move about quickly on foot, finger, grasp, lift objects, express and exchange ideas via spoken word, perceive the nature of sounds, and have visual acuity for reading, preparing, and analyzing data. Work is primarily sedentary in nature, requiring the occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force.
