Position Summary
We are looking for a results driven sales/technical professional to own strategic accounts in the animal proteins/pet nutrition space, drive new business, and deliver hands-on application & technical support. This person combines account management, sales prospecting, and field application engineering: building trust with customers through credibility, technical knowledge of animal proteins industry & liquid application systems, and consistent revenue growth against budget.
A Sample of What You’ll Do in this Role:
- •Bring proven sales experience in animal protein rendering industry, particularly with non-commodity, technical products.
- Own and grow assigned strategic accounts: develop account plans, identify expansion opportunities, and execute to revenue targets (quota-bearing role).
- Prospect and close new customers in target markets like animal proteins, fats & oils, and pet ingredients.
- Lead customer-facing demonstrations, trials, and technical presentations; translate technical detail into business value.
- Provide technical application support: design, oversee implementation & maintenance of liquid application systems and related equipment at customer facilities.
- Troubleshoot and solve process and application issues on-site and remotely; recommend corrective actions and preventative solutions.
- Perform/coordinate preventative maintenance and ensure customers get reliable, repeatable application performance.
- Prepare and deliver regular account and sales reports to Director of Sales and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, technical sales, customer service, and product teams to ensure customer success.
- Escalate and track complex technical or contractual issues; help refine company products/processes based on customer feedback.

- Providing technical expertise and field support to current and prospective customers.
- Enhancing Rangen’s industry credibility by effectively communicating the science and value proposition behind antioxidant portfolio & services.
- Collaborating cross-functionally to develop sales tools, strategies, and customer engagement initiatives that support business objectives.
- Owning account-level management, forecasting, budgeting, and EBITDA tracking to support territory and business profitability
Requirements:
What you Bring to the Role:
- B.S. in Animal Science, Ag- business, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of sales or operations experience in the industry (animal protein rendering industry) with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in technical services or customer-facing roles.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and communicate technical data effectively to both scientific and commercial audiences.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; able to balance multiple projects and customer priorities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to build trust and credibility across diverse stakeholders.
- A collaborative, self-motivated professional who combines scientific curiosity with a drive for business growth.
- Experience in engineering, maintenance, or application science within processing/industrial environments.
- Prior experience supporting or selling to pet or animal protein rendering customers.
- Familiarity with quick problem-solving expertise in customer-facing role.
