The Senior Full-Stack Developer will perform advanced analysis and programming work involving all technical aspects of designing, creating, and maintaining software applications. This position will support the Texas Early Childhood Integrated Data System (ECIDS) project team by delivering software development services including technical analysis, coding, testing, documentation, and collaborative sprint / release work. The developer will identify technical specifications, data integration requirements, and governance structures needed to successfully implement ECIDS for the State of Texas.
Responsibilities
- Analyze user requirements and create detailed design documents.
- Develop code that adheres to TEA and industry standards, best practices, and customer requirements.
- Conduct functional and integration testing to validate requirements.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation including design documents, process flows, object / data models, environment diagrams, and test plans.
- Collaborate with project team members to estimate effort, discuss architecture / design, triage and resolve defects, and provide regular status updates.
- Support sprint and release activities, ensuring deliverables meet scope and quality standards.
- Define technical specifications and data integration requirements for ECIDS implementation.
- Contribute to system design methodology and data governance structures.
- Provide input into project planning, including resource estimates and risk assessments.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
15+ years of experience creating ETL processes for transporting and aggregating large datasets between systems.15+ years of experience with SQL Server or Oracle (stored procedures, PL / SQL, Dynamic SQL, exception handling).10+ years of experience with object-oriented frameworks such as .NET Core or Java.10+ years of experience with XML, JSON, API testing, JavaScript, and jQuery.10+ years of experience in mid-to-large, complex enterprise-level SDLC projects.2+ years of experience working with Texas state agencies.Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, PowerApps).2+ years of experience with project-specific tools such as Jira, Tempo, BitBucket, and Confluence.2+ years of experience working with Scrum / Agile methodologies.Additional Notes
