Days : 7am-5 : 30pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. Thursdays off.

\n\nJob Description\n

The Registered Echo Technologist performs cardiovascular procedures as ordered by physicians to assist in patient diagnosis. This role encompasses a variety of non-invasive cardiopulmonary procedures and ensures adherence to departmental policies for quality care.

\n\nResponsibilities\n \n

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures to locate and record anatomical, pathological, and functional data.

    • \n

  • Conduct stress echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, and 2-D echocardiography.

    • \n

  • Document procedure data in patient charts and inform physicians of life-threatening results.

    • \n

  • Maintain, clean, and disinfect cardiology equipment and accessories.

    • \n

  • Handle clerical duties, assist cardiovascular staff, and ensure proper supply inventory.

    • \n

  • Supervise and instruct students and precept new employees.

    • \n

  • Participate in quality improvement activities and adhere to patient privacy regulations.

    • \n

  • Perform CPR and maintain a safe work environment.

    • \n \n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n \n

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Vascular / Echocardiography or equivalent experience.

    • \n

  • Cardiovascular credentialing from CCI or ARDMS registered cardiac sonographer required.

    • \n

  • CPR certification required.

    • \n

  • 1-2 years of experience as an echocardiography technician preferred.
