Description : Summary
The Ammonia Refrigeration Technician maintains and repairs ammonia refrigeration systems to meet plant specifications and comply with local, state, and federal regulations. This role focuses on hands-on technical work, accurate record-keeping, and supporting a safe, efficient refrigeration operation while collaborating with team members. We are willing to train, teach, or offer an apprenticeship program to suitable candidates.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations
- Perform maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on ammonia refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Work in low-temperature environments using appropriate PPE, including respirators, to repair equipment.
- Complete documentation for Process Safety Management (PSM), Risk Management Plan (RMP), and California Accidental Release Prevention (CalARP) programs.
- Adhere to safety, food safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) policies, reporting unsafe conditions promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to address system issues and support efficiency improvements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment through general housekeeping.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
