EdAdvance is one of Connecticut's six Regional Educational Service Centers (RESCs). EdAdvance is also a partner in the RESC Alliance and works collaboratively with the other RESC groups to support state-wide initiatives.

VAN DRIVERS

Major Responsibilities

• Drives assigned vehicle safely, observing Connecticut motor vehicle laws and regulations; observing EdAdvance safety and security procedures
• Maintains schedules; adheres to established routes; contributes to scheduling decisions to increase efficiency or safety
• Maintains cleanliness and general condition of assigned vehicle. Reports problems to Transportation Services Manager
• Keeps accurate records : daily mileage log, weekly service log, accident reports, confidential emergency cards for each passenger
• Creates a safe, comfortable and orderly atmosphere for passengers. Reports incidents or challenging behavior of passengers to Transportation Services Manager
• Other duties as may be assigned
• Regular and consistent attendance is considered an essential function of this position
