Learning & Development Manager, R&D - Endoscopy
This is a unique opportunity to apply and expand your talent development expertise within a global Research & Development (R&D) organization. The Learning and Development Manager, R&D for our Endoscopy business will lead the strategic design and delivery of scalable, sustainable learning and development solutions across all levels of the R&D function. This includes functional, technical, and leadership programming tailored to the diverse learning needs of a highly innovative and dynamic global team. This is a hybrid position in our Marlborough, MA office. The ideal candidate will be on-site 4 to 5 days per week.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Partnering with HR Business Partners, divisional leaders, and other stakeholders to align development strategies and solutions with business priorities, organizational goals, and company culture.
- Conducting needs assessments to identify opportunities across all professional levelsfrom early career to senior leadershipand using results to prioritize and implement development solutions.
- Designing and deploying learning programs, including onboarding, functional and technical training, career development, and leadership development initiatives.
- Collaborating with internal subject matter experts and cross-functional teams for content creation and iteration; identifying and managing external vendors and resources as needed.
- Leading or supporting the strategic design and implementation of scalable, cross-regional, and cross-functional learning initiatives.
- Developing and managing the annual operating plan and associated learning budgets.
- Overseeing portions or all aspects of the learning lifecycle, including needs analysis, design, development, delivery, and evaluation.
- Providing guidance, coaching, or direct management to other L&D team members as appropriate.
- Contributing to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive learning culture that supports employee engagement and development across the organization.
Required qualifications :
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a product development environmentMinimum of 5 years' experience in a management roleBachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related fieldDemonstrated analytical and problem-solving skillsProven leadership capability and ability to work independently and collaborativelyExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas clearly across technical and non-technical audiencesPreferred qualifications :
Experience supporting an R&D function or organizationDemonstrated ability to manage project plans, personnel resources, and timelinesStrategic mindset and ability to think systemically about learning and capability developmentKnowledge of the PLCP process and KDPD principlesCompletion of Boston Scientific's Velocity Leadership Development Program
