Aerospace Instructor - Leadership & Technical Training
Pay Rate : Up to $32.00 per hour
Schedule : Approximately 30 to 40 hours per week, average + / -32 hours
Locations : Primarily Renton, WA and Everett, WA, with additional sessions in Seattle, Auburn, and Frederickson, subject to change
Work Environment : Professional culture, business casual dress code
Eligibility : Per client policy, candidates must hold
Mileage : Preset mileage reimbursement for qualifying commutes, submitted via Fieldglass, secondary approval required
Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Instructors to support both Leadership Development Classes and highly specialized technical aerospace training programs. Individuals with a strong background in leadership training will be prioritized for leadership-focused sessions and may also support existing technical classes based on expertise.
This opportunity is ideal for professionals who combine deep technical aerospace knowledge with the ability to engage, instruct, and develop adult learners in a structured, professional environment. Military veterans with relevant technical and instructional experience have historically been highly successful in this role.
Core ResponsibilitiesDeliver instructor-led classroom training in leadership and / or aerospace technical disciplinesFacilitate engaging, structured learning experiences aligned with production and safety standardsMaintain a professional classroom presence while standing and instructing for extended periodsSupport curriculum delivery across multiple aerospace operational domainsCollaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure course objectives are metTravel between regional training locations as needed
Technical Instructor Tracks
Candidates may qualify under one or more of the following disciplines :
1. Electrical InstructorElectrical aircraft installations and assemblyElectrical functional test troubleshootingElectrical crimping and solderingBasic mechanical aptitude
2. Aerospace Mechanical Skills InstructorElectrical installations, bonding and groundingAircraft assembly, heavy structure drilling, maintenanceBlueprint interpretation, production standards, functional testingAircraft systems operations and troubleshooting
3. Aerospace Seal InstructorAircraft sealant applicationSurface preparation and sealant application to aircraft components
4. Environmental Health and Safety InstructorConfined Space protocolsLock Out Tag Tryout, LOTTODOT regulationsFall Protection training
Leadership Training Focus
Instructors assigned to leadership classes will : Facilitate structured leadership development programsDrive discussions around communication, accountability, operational excellence, and team performanceEngage frontline leaders and managers in practical, scenario-based learningSupport expansion of leadership curriculum as demand increases
A background in corporate leadership training, military leadership development, or structured adult education programs is highly preferred.
Required QualificationsStrong technical background within aerospace manufacturing or maintenance environmentsDemonstrated ability to instruct complex technical contentExperience teaching adult learners in a professional settingComfortable standing and teaching throughout the dayFlexible to support variable schedules and multi-site training deliveryMust hold
Preferred BackgroundMilitary veterans with aerospace or technical instructional experienceCorporate trainers or instructors with hands-on aerospace production knowledgeIndividuals who combine technical depth with strong presentation and facilitation skills
