About the Role
Were hiring a Director of Strategic Partnerships to build, scale, and manage the relationships that drive growth across all of Lemonaid including pharmacy, medical operations, clinical programs, patient acquisition, and brand expansion. This role will own the full lifecycle of external partnerships and sponsorships that enhance our service offerings, streamline operations, and expand our reach.
Youll work cross-functionally with pharmacy and clinical teams, medical operations, product, marketing, and growth to identify opportunities, negotiate agreements, and turn partnership concepts into operationalized, scalable programs. Were looking for someone who loves building something from scratch, thrives in ambiguous environments, and brings a scrappy, solutions-first mindset. Responsibilities
- Wholesale partnerships : Identify and secure relationships that expand product availability, distribution, and operational efficiency
- Employer partnerships : Develop partnerships with employer groups to broaden access, improve patient reach, and support workplace health initiatives
- Insurance partnerships : Explore and establish payer and insurance collaborations that enhance coverage options and strengthen Lemonaids care pathways
- Develop business cases by creating clear, data-informed assessments to evaluate new opportunities, projected impact, and recommended resourcing
- Lead Lemonaids overall partnership strategy across pharmacy and clinical, medical operations, employer groups, community organizations, digital health partners, and brand collaborators
- Identify, evaluate, and secure new partnership opportunities that advance Lemonaids growth, capabilities, revenue, and patient access
- Oversee all sponsorship relationships, from prospecting and negotiation through execution and ongoing management
- Develop a robust pipeline of partnership opportunities through market scanning, outreach, and ecosystem mapping
- Own end-to-end partnership lifecycle : initial conversations, due diligence, business case development, contract negotiation, onboarding, integration, and performance optimization
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to operationalize partnerships ensuring smooth execution across pharmacy operations, medical workflow, clinical services, and patient support
- Partner with Marketing and Growth teams to design and execute co-branded initiatives, joint sponsorships, and patient acquisition collaborations
- Manage key partner relationships day-to-day, ensuring alignment, communication, and successful delivery against shared goals
- Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reporting frameworks to evaluate partnership performance and inform decision-making
- Unblock cross-functional teams and remove friction to ensure partnerships translate into real, measurable business results
- Represent Lemonaid at industry events, conferences, and partner meetings
- Provide clear insights and recommendations to senior leadership on partnership strategy, risks, opportunities, and ecosystem trends
Qualifications
610+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, healthcare operations, commercial strategy, or related rolesStrong understanding of healthcare / telehealth, health insurance, medical systems and workflows, pharmacy operations, and online B2C.Demonstrated success negotiating deals, managing high-value partnerships, and turning relationships into scalable programsProven track record of driving revenue, operational improvements, or market expansion through partnershipsExcellent communication skills, including the ability to build trust with partners and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teamsAnalytical mindset with experience building business cases, evaluating partnership impact, and developing KPIsComfortable in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment; willing to roll up sleeves and take on work outside of formal scopeAbility to travel for partner meetings, conferences, and in-person St Louis work as neededCompensation package
