Sr. Software Test Engineer

Akkodis is partnering with a well-known name in the HVAC / energy solutions space to hire a Sr. Software Test Engineer on a 6 month contract to hire basis. This role will require your presence on site 4 days a week, with a WFH day on Friday. This role is aimed at progressing into a Test Manager Role.

Requirements :

• Experience with creating test cases, running test cases, running test plans, and managing a test team
• Ability to work with 3rd party tools as well as internal tools
• Must be adaptable and able to work with minimal direction
• Able to put together a test strategy to help the team reach goals for project release
• Hardware, application, and backend experience in testing - someone with experience in all three is ideal
• Basic understanding of how Firmware works, Applications work, and Backend systems work
• Cloud architecture is rooted in AWS - AWS Experience is strongly preferred
• Linux : Reviewing logs and finding root cause analysis for bugs - Strongly preferred
• Automation : Familiarity with Python
• Methodologies : Understanding Waterfall, Agile, and DevOps
• Understand principles for both and leverage best practices for both
• Need an individual that is willing to speak for the team consistently
• Consistent voice to speak for the team, willing to try new things, not afraid to be a leader
