Civil Engineer (EIT or PE) - Land Development

Overview

The Civil / Site Engineer will be a key member of the Civil / Site design team, working on a variety of solar, residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use land development projects. Responsibilities include site feasibility and conceptual planning, stormwater management, grading, drainage, utility design, erosion and sediment control, and permitting. As Senior Engineer, you may also conduct permitting research, due diligence, write specifications and reports. The Senior Engineer will work within AutoCAD Civil 3D and alongside the design team managers, and other Disciplines, to successfully complete projects within established budgets and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Apply broad knowledge of principles and practices in land development.
• Independently evaluate, select and adapt standard techniques, procedures and criteria.
• Design complete projects, systems, components or processes.
• Prepare advanced general and basic non-routine engineering designs and / or technical data for completion and accuracy.
• Prepare complete project documents.
• Analyze and interpret data, formulate and solve problems.
• Prepare scopes of work, budgets and schedule assignments.
• Assist with proposal development for professional services.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee engineering tasks, ensuring appropriate delegation to junior team members while maintaining quality and efficiency.
• Present project components in internal and client meetings
• Work within AutoCAD Civil 3D to successfully complete projects within established budgets and deadlines.
• Conduct field investigations and site visits as required
• Perform grading, utility, and stormwater designs, calculations and reports from concept through permitting.

Qualifications

Compensation : $79,000-$95,000 DOQ
