LPN / GPN - Cardiac Progressive Care

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Location : Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO

Department : 4H Cardiac Progressive Care Status : Part-Time - minimum of 8 hours / week or 16 hours / pay period Shift : Typically, 12 Hour Nights (7 : 00pm - 7 : 30am) Qualifications :

Education : Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.

Licensure : Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.

Physical Requirements / Demands : Position requires the ability to push, pull, and / or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

Experience : Experience preferred but not required.

Certifications : Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Other unit specific certifications as required.
