Position Overview :

As a Secondary to Medicare Account Representative, you will play a key role in optimizing billing and collections performance. You will manage overdue balances, investigate claim issues, and work closely with patients and insurance companies to ensure timely payments. Your contributions will directly impact the success of our Central Business Office and the achievement of our annual business goals.

Responsibilities :

  • Review and manage open secondary claim balances where Medicare is the primary or secondary payer.
  • Investigate claims overdue by 60 days or more; document all verbal and written communications.
  • Conduct outbound calls to patients and insurance companies to resolve outstanding balances.
  • Manage incoming correspondence and address inquiries from patients, field offices, and centers.
  • Identify billing errors and payer issues; escalate concerns to supervisors as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely follow-ups for account resolution.

Qualifications :

Required Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of customer service experience (retail, hospitality, banking, or healthcare).
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience in an office or medical billing environment.
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work efficiently across multiple programs with dual monitors.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Passionate about career development and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

    Work Environment and Physical Demands :

  • Office setting with extended periods of sitting.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Monday-Friday schedule, no weekend shifts required.
