Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist registered in Vascular Technology to perform advanced imaging, with rotating weekend and call responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Position is in a vascular ultrasound unit handling adult vascular and cardiac studiesPerforms echocardiograms, including TEE and intraoperative studies, as well as vascular examsAdditional procedures include stress echocardiograms, transcranial Dopplers, and transcutaneous oxygen measurements where applicablePerforms EKGs, stress tests, holter monitoring, and ambulatory blood pressure monitoringWork schedule is Monday through Friday with 8-hour day shifts and a 1-hour lunch breakRotating weekend coverage required, typically every 4th to 5th weekendOn-call requirements include weekends scheduled to work and 1-2 weekdays each weekPerform echocardiograms, vascular examinations, stress echos, TCDs, TCOMs, EKGs, stress testing, holter, and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring as assignedRegistered technologists may work independently on vascular studies, while registry-eligible individuals may not perform these independentlyRegistered technologists may be required to cover call for vascular studies as neededAssists with clerical, reception, and documentation dutiesExpected to maintain continuing education and uphold cleanliness and organization of equipment and workspaceWill assume supervisor responsibilities in the absence of the Registered Cardiovascular Technologist SupervisorNon-billable orientation modules are completed via HealthStream during the onboarding processRequirements
ARDMS or CCI credential in Vascular Technology is requiredCurrent BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferredARDMS or CCI credential in Echocardiography is preferredMust have valid license if applicableVascular registry is required; Echo registry is preferredTravel experience is highly preferredMust provide two references from supervisors within the last 3 years of employmentRTO must be provided for considerationMust live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not acceptedBenefits
