Job Description

Develops the engineering controls (radiological, environmental, safety and industrial hygiene), work procedures and supporting documents necessary for performing work on, or handling radioactive and / or nuclear material. Includes fleet support and maintenance in radiological areas including radiological support equipment (ventilation, machinery, piping and characterization), and decontamination and decommissioning activities. Provides engineering support as work is executed to ensure compliance with engineered work products, including any updates or changes needed for work execution procedures. Develops engineered drawings, sketches, containment design, ESH controls and lifting and handling diagrams to support unique and complex projects. May develop plans and reports and perform environmental characterization and investigation activities pursuant to local and federal regulatory programs.

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience; or Currently an Intermediate Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or Field (RPCO) Engineer at the Company.

Preferred Skills

• Demonstrated effectiveness in working in cross-functional teams, teaming with other engineers to ensure integration of tasks and plans.
• Project Management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and other CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) software.
• Writing and implementing technical procedures.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of quality assurance programs.
• Obtain and retain necessary qualifications to perform assigned duties.
• Ability to ensure product line success through quality and reliability.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range

$77,900.00 - $119,300.00 annually

Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
