Patient Access Representative
UTHealth Houston - UT Physicians Greens Multispecialty is hiring a Patient Access Representative (Assistant, I, II) to join their team of professionals in North Houston. The ideal candidate would be familiar with the community and resources available for patients in North Houston and demonstrate community mindedness, with patient and employee focus, while being a fair, education-oriented team player and leader.
Preferences : Previous experience as a Patient Access Representative. Possible past experience within the UT / MH System or another system that uses Epic. Experience scheduling internal referrals using Epic Decision Tree processes. Experience with pre-authorizations, scheduling, and processing of external referrals. Experience with Availity and other payer websites and the process for verifying eligibility and authorizations. Experience with Medicaid and Medicare. Customer service excellence skill set.
Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8a - 5p, Saturday 8-12, with rotating extended hours from 7am - 7pm.

Minimum Experience : None
Physical Requirements : Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and / or up to 20 pounds frequently and / or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
