Description
We're seeking a dependable and technically proficient NOC Level 1 Technician to join our overnight operations team. This role is vital to ensuring network stability and rapid incident response during off-peak hours. - Position currently reports on-site at our North Kansas City, MO Technical Office
- Schedule : Monday-Friday, 9 : 00 PM - 6 : 00 AM
- Flexibility required for shift changes based on business needs.
- This team operates 24 / 7 / 365; weekend and holiday availability is essential.
Requirements
Associate degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.Foundational knowledge of networking protocols and troubleshooting techniques.Familiarity with monitoring tools and ticketing systems.Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to stay alert and focused during overnight hours.Comfortable adapting quickly to changes in a dynamic network environment with evolving processes.Capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced setting.Preferred :
Prior experience in a NOC or technical support role preferred; similar experience in a technical call center may be considered.Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent are a plus.Exposure to Linux / Windows server environments.Familiarity with Calix Intelligent Access networks and Juniper network devices is advantageous.Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions :
Monitor network infrastructure, servers, and applications using various tools during overnight hours.Respond to alerts and incidents with initial diagnostics and escalate when necessary.Accurately document incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the ticketing system.Communicate effectively with on-call staff and cross-functional support teams.Follow established procedures and contribute to ongoing process improvements.Perform routine system checks and maintenance during low-traffic periods.Provide detailed handoff reports to day shift teams to ensure continuity.What We Offer
