- Performs technical functions supporting engineering activities.
- Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
- Works from documentation, written or verbal instructions, schematics, rough sketches, diagrams, layouts, and plans often requiring interpretation and application of comprehensive knowledge and practical understanding of electronic theory and principles.
- Applications may include analog, digital, and / or video circuits and logic systems.
- Conducts testing in a development mode and determines methods or actions to correct malfunctions or design problems.
- Recommends modifications to engineering designs as necessary.
- May assist in the design, construction, test, and checkout of test equipment.
- Normally assigned in areas such as development, engineering, test equipment, system checkout, fabrication, and the like.
Scope
