Overview Creative Director
Location : Orange, CA, USA
Experience level : Senior (4+ years). Lead brand and creative for utility infrastructure and engineering services. Hands-on creative leadership for field-facing communications and integrated campaigns. Translate complex technical content into clear, on-brand materials used on-site across the U.S. Role involves shaping brand systems and driving production of digital, print, environmental, and vehicle collateral, in collaboration with Operations, Engineering, and Safety teams.
Responsibilities Define and own brand strategy, messaging hierarchy, and scalable visual systems for technical and field-facing channels.
Lead creative execution for integrated campaigns (digital, print, signage, vehicle / field collateral), ensuring clarity and safety compliance.
Manage and mentor a small creative team and cross-functional contractors; set priorities, review work, and build production workflows for fast on-site turnarounds.
Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Safety to translate complex technical content into clear, actionable communications for stakeholders and end users.
Oversee vendor relationships and production budgets; approve artwork, manage timelines, and ensure quality control from concept through deployment.
Establish measurement and optimization routines to use performance insights to iterate on creative and improve engagement and adoption.
Qualifications Required :
4+ years in creative leadership or senior art direction with demonstrable experience shipping integrated campaigns and branded systems.
Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and a strong portfolio showcasing brand work across digital, print, and environmental graphics.
Hands-on experience managing creative teams, external agencies, and production vendors with on-time, on-budget delivery.
Excellent stakeholder communication skills and comfort working on-site across U.S. field locations.
Proven ability to simplify technical content for diverse audiences (demonstrated through portfolio work or case studies).
Preferred :
Experience in utility, industrial, or B2B technical sectors (safety communications, environmental signage, fleet branding, or municipal / utility procurement processes).
Background in UX / UI or digital product design and familiarity with web CMS, HTML / CSS basics, or digital asset management systems.
Proven experience working with safety teams and producing field- or operations-facing collateral for regulated environments.
