About the Role

The Company is seeking a General Counsel to be its first legal executive, a pivotal role in the organization's journey. The successful candidate will be a visionary and business-minded leader, responsible for partnering with the Board of Directors and executive team to guide the company's legal strategy and support its long-term growth. This includes building and leading the legal function, providing expert counsel on a wide range of legal matters, and ensuring the company's legal and governance foundation is in place as it prepares for an eventual IPO. The General Counsel will also be involved in all legal affairs globally, from commercial transactions to intellectual property and privacy issues, and will play a key role in the company's corporate development activities.

Applicants for the General Counsel position at the company should have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school, be admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, and have a minimum of 15 years' of relevant legal experience. A strong background in commercial contracting, SaaS agreements, enterprise technology transactions, and corporate governance is essential, as is familiarity with global privacy regulations and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a General Counsel or senior legal leader in a high-growth, venture-backed, or publicly listed SaaS technology company, and possess exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. The role requires a strategic, solutions-oriented mindset, with the ability to provide practical legal advice in a fast-paced environment, and a collaborative, approachable leadership style.
