Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and maintain construction project schedules, ensuring milestones are tracked and deadlines are metSupport project managers with short-term and long-term planning using scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Buildertrend, or similar)Track material orders and deliveries to align with construction timelinesSource, order, and manage inventory of building materials and suppliesWork closely with subcontractors and vendors to confirm availability, delivery dates, and pricingReview purchase orders and verify accuracy, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with project budgetsMaintain organized records of all procurement and scheduling activitiesAssist in job costing, vendor negotiations, and updating project timelines as neededCommunicate effectively with site supervisors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure clarity and progress across all projectsQualifications
2+ years of experience in construction scheduling, purchasing, or coordination rolesStrong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlinesProficient in Microsoft Excel and scheduling / project management toolsFamiliarity with residential and / or commercial construction processesExcellent communication and follow-up skillsExperience working with vendors, subcontractors, and project managersAbility to read construction schedules and plans is a plus
