Medical Surgical Unit - Registered Nurse

Shift : 7 : 00 AM - 7 : 30 PM

Experience :

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience is required from any number of months.

Requirements :

Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

This role may require floating to additional units and locations

Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >

50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details :

Travelers assigned to the Greater Peoria Service Area may be required to float between the following sites : Carle Health Methodist Hospital, Carle Health Pekin Hospital, and / or Carle Health Proctor Hospital. The Carle Leader will notify the traveler directly when there is a need to float between locations.

Provides post-operative care for the complex surgical population. Assesses and intervenes appropriately to ensure positive outcomes during the post-operative phase. Monitors and cares for newly tracheostomies. Assesses and maintains wounds that require a wound vac and other complex wound management. Assesses, manages and educates patient and families on new ostomies. . Works collaboratively with the general surgical residency and OMFS residency services.
