Location

(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.

Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Provides technical expertise and support through resolving escalated enterprise system service issues for Campus Services. Ensures the integrity and efficient operation of systems supporting department functions. Supervises assigned staff.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Implements full lifecycle of complex IT systems and solutions, ensuring security, stability, integrity, and recoverability

2. Diagnoses and resolves complex problems

3. Develops system integrations and automations

4. Develops and maintains documentation of requirements, systems, services, processes (including

data flow), and procedures

5. Serves as a resource and mentor to junior team members

6. Provides on call support, responding to incidents on nights and weekends, as part of an on-call rotation

7. Provides support for special events, as needed

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field or an equivalent combination of relevant education and / or experience

Required Experience

Five (5) years of related IT experience dealing with increasingly complex systems

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications

An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

Preferred Experience

Previous experience working in higher education

Previous experience working in auxiliary services

Experience supporting point-of-sale and transactional systems

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

ABILITIES

Able to appropriately assess and communicate risks, benefits, and alternatives

Able to analyze, evaluate, and implement complex IT systems

Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines

KNOWLEDGE

Demonstrated expertise managing one or more auxiliary related enterprise systems (i.e. operations for point-of-sale systems, card and transactional systems, parking and transportation management systems, and culinary and hospitality systems)

Demonstrated expertise in : Microsoft Active Directory concepts, administration of Microsoft desktop and server operating systems, PowerShell or equivalent scripting and automation technologies, IP networking fundamentals, administration of enterprise relational databases, and managing data in an enterprise relational database

Knowledge of Payment Card Industry (PCI) security standards and compliance

Well versed in current and emerging technologies, technological trends, and industry best practices for areas of responsibility

SKILLS

Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills

Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)

Strong attention to detail and follow up skills

Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette'
