Job Summary : Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trailer, diagnosing and fixing issues related to brakes, tires, steering, suspension, and other trailer systems.

Essential Functions

• Troubleshoot and diagnose needed repairs-based customer concerns. Provide estimates for repairs to customers. With approval, complete repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and preventative maintenance on brakes, tires, steering, suspension, and other mechanical and electrical systems.
• Install accessories and make upgrades or modifications on new and used trailers.
• Ensure trailers meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Pointing out concerns to customers, recommending needed repairs.
• Address customer concerns, provide service updates, and work with customer to resolve concerns.
• Accurately complete work orders, test trailers – pulling behind a vehicle when necessary – for accuracy of the completed repair document repairs and maintain records of service performed.
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT requirements while performing work.
• Unload freight trucks for trailer and parts deliveries.
• Assemble, test, and wash trailers as they arrive.
• Assist other service technicians as needed.
