Accounting Manager / Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager / Supervisor to join our team in Auburn, Massachusetts. In this role, you will oversee critical accounting functions, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and alignment with organizational goals. You will also collaborate closely with upper management to deliver tailored financial statements and report analysis.

Responsibilities :

Supervise and provide guidance to junior staff, ensuring team goals and deliverables are met effectively.

Collaborate with account managers to address their unique accounting and financial reporting needs.

Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including reviewing audit workpapers and ensuring accurate transaction processing.

Oversee accounts receivable activities, ensuring proper documentation, compliance, posting, and timely reporting.

Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and compliant.

Conduct variance analysis on the general ledger and address discrepancies to maintain accurate financial reporting.

Analyze and manage profit and loss statements to support the company's financial planning and strategic decisions.

Review and post payroll journal entries, ensuring compliance and accurate reconciliations.

Leverage prior audit experience to oversee internal and external audit processes, ensuring adherence to financial standards.

Requirements :

• Bachelors in Accounting / Finance / Business, Masters a plus
• 7-10 years of experience with a few in a management position
• Experience in budgeting, internal financial statement prep and reporting, and budget vs actual financial statement reporting
• Hands on accounting experience related to AP / AR, journal entries, and GL management
• Good communication
• Experience in multi entity accounting is a plus
