Key Responsibilities

• Drives Sales : Contribute to store sales goals by selling furniture, accessories and services; promote the Design program and assist the Designer to achieve design sales goals; consistently execute the La-Z-Boy selling process to provide a favorable customer experience; develop and use sales skills from approach to follow-up, including handling objections and closing; maximize store promotions and grassroots programs.
• Design Program : Schedule professional home consultations to present customized room designs and installation services; execute and champion the Design process following company guidelines; support design-related functions in the store.
• Customer Focus : Provide the highest level of customer service; ensure informative and positive customer experiences; use systems to support satisfaction and follow-up; handle customer issues with appropriate solutions.
• People : Maintain positive working relationships with store staff; assist in training and developing new peers on product knowledge and selling skills; promote a culture of sales and service.
• Operational Excellence : Maintain store appearance, manage product tagging and catalogs, support floor moves and store cleanliness; accurate order information and records; manage daily system logs; schedule deliveries; open and close the store.

Compensation and Schedule

Training Pay : $15 - $17 per hour for 2-6 weeks (no commissions; base rate varies by location)

Average Annual Earning Potential After Training : $50,000 - $70,000+ (base plus commission)

Total Compensation Range : $22,880 - $80,000+ (will not pay less than state / local minimum wage requirements)

Post-Training Pay : Base Pay $11 – 15 / hour (varies by store location); Uncapped commissions on written sales; commission structure of 1 - 6% based on monthly sales achievement; total compensation depends on location and performance.

Weekly Hours : 40
