Job descriptionGraduate of an accredited nursing school with a current RN license in Connecticut. Certification in CPR required at hire. Must complete PMT and de-escalation training within six months of hire. Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Basic computer proficiency. Ability to respond swiftly and efficiently in emergency situations, including patient restraint when necessary. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and reassessments, including psychosocial, physical, and cultural factors. Manage patient pain effectively and educate families on pain management strategies. Develop and update individualized treatment plans, involving patients and families in the goal-setting process. Ensure accurate medication administration following established protocols. Document nursing processes promptly and effectively, demonstrating flexibility and critical thinking in various situations. Develop educational plans based on patient needs, engaging families as appropriate. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment while managing potentially violent situations effectively. Collaborate with all treatment team members to address patient needs efficiently. Provide psychotherapeutic treatment and participate in educational and group activities.

Position Summary :
As an Inpatient RN, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care using the nursing process. You will effectively coordinate care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, ensuring clear communication of patient conditions and swift responses to changes. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a safe therapeutic environment, promoting professional nursing practices, and supporting the team through our core values of Teamwork, Respect, and Communication.
