What does a successful Senior DevOps Engineer do at Fiserv?

You will oversee and manage our infrastructure and ensure its reliability, scalability, and performance. You will be essential to design, implement, and maintain a robust ecosystem while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

What you will do :

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable infrastructure within a Fintech environment
• Monitor and troubleshoot clusters to ensure optimal performance and stability
• Collaborate with development teams to understand their requirements and provide guidance on Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure.
• Develop automation tools and scripts to streamline deployments and configuration management
• Evaluate and implement best practices for security, data encryption, and access controls
• Proactively monitor server and application logs, set up alerting, and conduct root cause analysis in case of incidents

What you will need to have :

• 6-10 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, specifically working with Kubernetes, Terraform, Argo , and Kafka
• 5 years of experience Linux systems administration and shell scripting
• 2 years of experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
• 2 years of experience with Kafka monitoring tools and performance tuning with security-related aspects of Kafka, including SSL / TLS encryption, ACLs, and authentication / authorization mechanisms
• Previous Fiserv, Finxact experience
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and / or military experience

What would be nice to have :

• Certification : Confluent Certified Developer, Administrator, or Integrator
• Experience in the Fintech or financial services industry

This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, Nevada, Rhode Island or Washington.
