Overview

PSA Engineer with Network / Transmission focus, delivering Energy Management Systems and related engineering responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Customize and deliver Energy Management Systems, preferably e-terra AEMS - Reliance.
• Develop and maintain software using C++, Java or other related languages.
• Work with GE's AEMS Reliance source design and development.
• Apply knowledge of electric utility industry practices to projects.
• Operate with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Work with C, Java & Oracle Database; perform SQL, shell scripting, and interpret logs & debug files.
• Install OS patches and 3rd party software (e.g., Oracle, NetApp).
• Configure systems and manage version control using GitHub and ClearCase.
• Contribute to realtime or mission-critical systems; install fixes on live customer systems.
• Analyze problems, identify root causes, and implement resolutions; strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Communicate effectively (verbal and written); proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and MS Outlook.
• Experience with Reliance (formerly XA / 21) and object-oriented programming; Oracle and / or system administration is a plus.
