About The Position

Job Title : Labor and Delivery Nurse

Profession : Nursing

Specialty : Obstetrics RN

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour Day Shift, flexible to work other shifts, weekends, and holidays

Hours per Shift : 36 guaranteed hours

Experience : Minimum of 5 years recent experience in Labor and Delivery nursing required

License : Active Registered Nurse License

Certifications : American Heart Association BLS, ACLS or ALSO, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced FHM required. RNC-EFM may substitute for AWHONN FHM.

Must-Have : Must be flexible to work other shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Description :

Registered Nurse needed for Labor and Delivery and Post Partum rooms.

Experience with Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) is essential.

Babies room in with mothers.

Average 40 deliveries per month, with an average of 6 C-sections per month.

May be required to cover as charge nurse after charge nurse training on occasion.

Travelers may be expected to float to other departments in which they are qualified to work.

This may include taking a patient load if experienced and competent in that setting.

Travelers may also assist with task-oriented duties such as answering call lights and phones.

Holiday coverage is required.
