Job descriptionDetailed knowledge of structural steel and concrete design principles and industry methodologies. Significant structural steel connection design experience. Proficiency with structural codes and standards. Extensive knowledge of heavy industrial structures and components. Strong computer skills, including proficiency with structural computer programs such as STAAD PRO. Proficiency with OSHA regulations. Ability to coordinate and manage multiple large-scale, multi-discipline projects. Ability to perform structural inspections and provide written reports. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff, and / or vendors. 20+ years of experience in heavy industrial / power plant engineering OR an accredited bachelor's and master's degree in engineering, along with a professional engineering license.

Job Summary :
The Structural Engineer position requires 20+ years of heavy industrial / power plant experience or an accredited bachelor's & master's degree in engineering and professional engineering license.
Job Responsibilities :
- Provide structural engineering services and field support.
- Conduct preparation of designs and calculations.
- Conduct site walkdowns of construction sites.
- Develop cost estimates and material takeoffs.
- Provide schedule and staffing input for projects.
- Produce and check structural steel design calculations and drawings.
