FLSA Status : Non-Exempt

Shift : 1st Shift — Monday–Thursday, 6 : 30 a.m.–5 : 00 p.m. (with some Fridays per business needs)

About the Role :

This hands-on leadership role oversees daily operations within our metal fabrication and weld department, ensuring production goals, safety standards, and quality expectations are consistently met.

As a Production Team Lead, you’ll coordinate workflow, train team members, and support continuous improvement efforts that keep our plant running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily workflow in the metal fabrication area to meet production goals.
• Lead and motivate team members to maintain productivity, quality, and safety standards.
• Train and onboard new employees, ensuring consistent understanding of operational and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate production records, data, and reports.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and cross-functional departments to support smooth operations.
• Identify and report equipment or safety concerns immediately.
• Promote and enforce all safety policies, PPE use, and 5S / LEAN best practices.
• Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Encourage teamwork, accountability, and a respectful workplace culture.
• Support adherence to schedules to ensure products meet delivery and quality expectations.
• Assist in providing performance feedback and coaching to team members.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

Lifting : Lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.

Environment : Manufacturing setting with noise, heat, and other environmental stressors.

Physical Activities : Stand, walk, bend, climb, crouch, reach, and grasp throughout the shift.

PPE : Eye and hearing protection, gloves, and safety-toe footwear required.

Dexterity & Vision : Manual dexterity and ability to distinguish color, depth, and distance.

Stamina : Ability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks.

Safety : Follow all safety procedures and promptly report hazards.
