  • Primarily across the DMV area (Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia), with a strong focus on St. Mary's County for the next 6 months.
  • Job Overview The OSP Aerial Lead / Foreman is responsible for executing and overseeing aerial fiber and small cell deployments. This includes new builds, pole replacements, and transfers. The role involves hands-on work and leadership of small crews (2-4 members), ensuring quality control and efficient execution.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform aerial construction tasks : pole setting, transfers, overlashing, strand installation, fiber pulling, and equipment mounting.
    • Occasionally assist with light manhole work.
    • Lead and guide small crews, ensuring high-quality work and safety compliance.
    • Coordinate with project managers and assist with close-out documentation (training provided).
    • Travel and stay overnight (Monday-Thursday) in designated project areas; return for local work on Fridays and weekends.
    • Report daily to the Perry Hall office to gather materials and dispatch to job sites.
    • Participate in optional on-call rotation (1-2 times every 4-6 months), including potential night or emergency work.
    • Top Skills & Experience

    • 5+ years
    • of aerial power or telecommunications experience (e.g., overlashing, pole transfers, anchors, fiber, strand, make-readies).
    • Ability to lead small crews and perform quality control (leadership training available).
    • Proficiency in blueprint reading and work execution oversight.
    • Willingness to travel and stay overnight regularly (hotel and per diem provided).
    • Additional Qualifications

    • Reliable and flexible work ethic.
    • Previous lineman experience is a plus.
    • Ability to climb and operate a bucket truck.

    • Work Environment

    • Small, close-knit teams operating across the DMV region.
    • Majority of work based in St. Mary's County initially, with rotation back to Baltimore and surrounding counties.
    • Standard hours : Monday-Friday, 7 AM-3 PM, with flexibility for nights / weekends if seeking overtime.
    • Vehicle may be parked at designated facilities if home parking is restricted.
    • Business Impact This role supports major broadband expansion and network upgrades across the region. The company is scaling rapidly due to new long-term contracts and is building multiple teams to meet demand. The work directly contributes to rural broadband development and infrastructure growth.

      Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.00 / hr.
