JOB SUMMARY

The Facilities Manager supports and manages the day-to-day operations of various regional facilities to ensure the operations, maintenance, and vendor management standards met in a cost-effective, safe and efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / DUTIES

• Collaboratively leads master plan development, in alignment with overall business goals and organizational strategies.
• Prepares cost estimates, timelines / schedules with completion estimates, and prepares purchase requisitions for assigned projects.
• Negotiates contracts with outside vendors and holds vendors to established timelines.
• Oversees acquisition, installation, operation, maintenance and disposition of building systems, including furniture and equipment.
• Manages the maintenance of building structures, interiors, grounds and exterior elements
• Manages real estate assets, lease portfolios and required documents.
• Develops and implements practices that promote and protect health, safety, security, the quality of work life, the environment and organizational effectiveness.
• Manages developmental efforts of facility services to make innovative improvements in facilities
• Develops and manages emergency preparedness procedures, including disaster recovery plans
• Conducts all pre-planning and coordination of facilities, property development, and / or changes; coordinates all necessary work to accomplish move / addition / change including but not limited to cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts, and contracts for construction and acquisitions.
• Develops, implements and monitors department budget; manages expenses within approved budget constraints.
• Ensures all fire and safety inspections are completed and any discrepancies are corrected; ensures property is in compliance with all safety and sanitation policies, procedures and regulations.
• Interfaces with appropriate staff / managers to receive information regarding facilities' needs; ensures timely response to requests.
• Interfaces with appropriate staff / managers, engineers and outside contractors to review and / or develop renovation and new construction plans; coordinates communication with and work outside of contractors.
• Prepares accurate and timely reports as required.
