Performance Responsibilities : (Other duties may be assigned)
Monitors and ensures the implementation of the education goals and objectives of the Early Head Start Program.
Monitors and ensures the implementation of family services including the Parent Committee and Parenting Curriculum.
Observes, supervises and evaluates Child Development Specialists and Child Care Provider Assistants.
Supports family child care provider owners and administrators in the implementation of the Head Start Program Performance Standards.
Acts as a resource person for developmentally appropriate activities and practices.
Provides staff and parents with training and information; plans and conducts applicable workshops.
Ability to supervise and provide direction to adults as well as children.
Ability to plan, organize, implement and evaluate programs and services.
Maintains all required written documentation, including but not limited to, classroom operations and staff performance.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, families, outside professional agencies and the public.
Compiles necessary statistical data and completes all necessary and required reports; completes computer data entry using program specific software.
Ensures the Head Start Act, Head Start Performance Standards and Licensing Regulations are enforced.
Substitute coverage in Early Head Start classroom, as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by St. Joseph County ISD Administration.
