Job Posting

The Deputy Library Director at the City of Rochester will lead comprehensive planning and fiscal oversight of the organization's major customer facing divisions including Information Services, Reader Services, Youth Services, and Outreach Services. This position serves as the collection development and programming manager and provides direction to the customer service points of the library as well as leading library wide initiatives, systems and processes and being responsible for the creation and execution of strategic goals. The Deputy Library Director serves as the staff liaison to the Rochester Public Library Board. This position reports to the Library Director and will act jointly with the other Deputy Library Director as the Library Director in their absence.

Education and Experience

Master's degree in Library Science from an American Library Association accredited college / university with five years of experience providing leadership and direction to employees in a library setting.
