Responsibilities Work in a hospital LDRP unit covering labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, nursery, and GYN surgical cases Patient ratios vary from 1 : 1 to 1 : 8 depending on assigned area Typical daily census is 8 with 10 visits per day, 20 rooms, and 21 beds Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week from 17 : 00 to 05 : 30 Requires working every other weekend and holidays as needed Floating within service line and to affiliate hospitals required EPIC is the EMR used and experience is required Onsite support includes intensivist, anesthesiologist, CRNA on call 24 / 7, and hospitalist in house 24 / 7 Scrubs are provided Responsibilities include OB triage, labor care, delivery, immediate recovery, postpartum care, newborn care, and circulating for GYN surgeries First-time travelers are welcome to apply Orientation modules must be completed prior to start Up to 7 days of RTO allowed per 13 week contract; no RTO allowed during the first week Permanent former staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler Standard travelers can stay for up to 18 months and must take a 3-month break after Facial hair must be trimmed for proper fit testing compliance Requirements Active IL RN license required at time of submission Current BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP certifications required Fetal Heart Monitoring and AWHONN Advanced certifications preferred Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required Strong labor skills, fetal monitoring competency, and c-section circulation experience required Experience with IV starts and OB triage required EPIC charting experience required Must reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facility Background check required; no medical marijuana cards accepted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624112.
