Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead major heavy civil construction projects, including roadway, bridge, and transportation infrastructure across the MD / DC / VA region. This role oversees all phases of project delivery—from planning and scheduling to field execution, financial management, and client coordination.

What You’ll Do :
As a Project Manager, you will serve as the operational and strategic leader across all phases of assigned heavy civil projects. Key responsibilities include :
- Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource strategies.
- Lead and oversee daily field operations for roadway, bridge, and civil construction activities.
- Supervise and support Project Engineers, Superintendents, and field crews.
- Coordinate with owners, DOT agencies, designers, and subcontractors to maintain project alignment.
- Monitor progress using CPM scheduling methods and proactively adjust plans to meet milestones.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, buyout, change orders, and cost tracking.
- Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFIs to ensure compliance and quality.
- Enforce safety standards and environmental requirements across all jobsite activities.
- Prepare project reports, documentation, and updates for stakeholders and leadership.
- Lead project closeout activities, ensuring all deliverables and requirements are fully met.
Requirements :
10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction, specifically roadway, bridge, transportation, or related DOT projects.
5+ years of experience in a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer role overseeing field operations.Strong working knowledge of :DOT specificationsEarthwork, paving, structures, utilitiesConcrete and structural operationsCPM schedulingCost controls and project documentationPreferred :
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).Experience overseeing multi-year transportation infrastructure programs.Familiarity with design-build projects.Professional Engineer (PE), PMP, or other industry certifications.
