Registered Nurse

WKH is looking for a RN who can float to various clinics and fill for sick and vacation. It is a full-time position. They will need to be able to go to all 4 campuses (WKN, WKS, WKB and WKP.) A detailed-orientated, dependable, organized nurse who is able to do multitask and has demonstrated a consistent work history will be the candidate chosen for the job! Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: assessing the patient systematically and utilizing the assessment data to plan appropriate nursing care; implementing care based on knowledge of professional standards of nursing practice; assisting the physician with the patient's plan of care and patient's response to the nursing intervention on a continuous basis; and identifying the learning needs of patients and family members and meets these through the teaching/learning process. Able to work with insurance companies for preautherizations for tests and procedures. They will need good communication skills because they will be working with various departments in scheduling patients. The office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. You will not be required to work weekends and holidays. A RN with a current license to practice as a professional nurse in the state of Louisiana will be required for this position.
