Responsibilities Work in a 10-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM with every other weekend and major holiday required Patient population includes neonates from 28 weeks gestation and up; surgical and high-frequency ventilation cases not included Procedures include bubble CPAP, ventilator management, umbilical lines, peripheral IVs, arterial sticks, peripheral blood draws, heel sticks, and neonatal resuscitation Equipment used includes Alaris IV pumps, Medfusion pumps, bubble CPAP, and Puritan Bennett ventilators Epic EMR is used May be required to float within the New Life Center or to other NICU units Possible on-call requirement up to 24 hours within a 6-week period Provide comprehensive assessment, care planning, intervention, and evaluation for NICU patients Collaborate with an interprofessional team to ensure optimal neonatal care outcomes Strong assessment and neonatal resuscitation skills are necessary for this position Holiday and every other weekend coverage is mandatory First time travelers are not specifically excluded Scrub color or dress code details not specified Requirements Active VA or compact RN license required Minimum of 3 years current NICU RN experience required BLS and NRP certifications required Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Must provide proof of address for compliance with a 50-mile radius rule; locals not accepted Pass / fail EKG testing required on the first day with two attempts permitted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627722.
