JOB DESCRIPTION
The Territory Manager reports to the Regional Vice President and is responsible for developing and implementing sales and marketing plans within their assigned territory. This role requires effective communication skills to build business relationships and provide creative solutions to customers' problems. The candidate must be able to continuously learn about products, modifications, and anticipate customer needs, while collaborating effectively with multiple parties. Prior sales experience is required, and experience in the foodservice industry is preferred. This role involves regional travel and some national travel for industry events and professional development.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute sales and marketing plans to meet personal and business goals, increasing manufacturer product penetration.
- Identify key end-user targets and create marketing strategies to cultivate business through individual efforts, team collaboration, and dealer relationships.
- Meet or exceed assigned sales quotas.
- Plan and follow up on all joint calls with manufacturers within the territory.
- Seek new applications and customers for our manufacturer's products.
- Build trust, communicate effectively, drive successful execution, foster innovation, focus on the customer, and collaborate to solve customer problems.
- Coordinate sales efforts and communication within a team environment.
- Schedule regular appointments with dealers to review product needs and develop new opportunities.
- Keep customers informed about product changes, modifications, and new introductions.
- Participate in trade shows and conferences regionally and nationally when assigned.
- Maintain and update the customer relationship management (CRM) system.
- Provide updates on opportunities within the territory as required by the company.
- Keep customer displays and marketing materials current.
- Maintain the Zink Culinary Center Showroom in an organized and current state.
- Work with sales and support teams to achieve customer satisfaction, revenue goals, and long-term success aligned with company vision and values.
