Qualifications :

Preferred : 1-2 years of veterinary experience (not required)

Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of Ohio

Proficiency in the following skills :

Phlebotomy

Injections and vaccinations

Inpatient care

Monitoring anesthesia

Radiology positioning and technique

Client communication and education

Responsibilities :

Primarily assist during exams and outpatient care, maintain detailed medical records, address clients’ questions and maintain efficient workflow to keep exams running on schedule.

This position includes a variety of tasks that require both technical skills and love for animals.

Job Description

Green Road Animal Hospital, located in University Hts OH, is looking for a full-time RVT. This position is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday with approximately 36 hours a week. The ideal candidate would be licensed by an accredited college with 1-2 years of experience but we will be willing to work with someone in the process of completing their accreditation.

The ideal candidate must be able to follow instruction, be caring and compassionate, a team player, adaptable, and be able to communicate clearly and multitask. The duties include taking patient history / maintaining medical records, being comfortable with using veterinary software, proficient in phlebotomy, client education, monitoring anesthesia, position / technique for radiographs, maintaining drug logs and inpatient care.
